Since the beginning of time.

Void

A plane absent of anything material or permanent. Yet, in its vastness, a set of two, a pair of entities. Parallels, two sides of a coin. One with white hide, speckled with a touch of black, the other with black hide, speckled with white. The pattern not unlike the sky of this void, littered with a mass of stars. Yet, in this almost sterile environment absent of life or death, these two creatures thrived, never having come as close as observing one another until now. Eyes meeting, examining every little detail of the other. Their silhouettes of opposing colour approached, closing the chasm of distance with every tender step. Steadily closer. Their eyes eventually met, a shimmer of curiosity in each pair, two extended contrasts meeting for the first time. A sense of strong curiosity and awe. Heads reeling with a mountain of questions each. “Who are you, how are you here with me?” Unspoken, language itself absent, but yet, understood by each other.

Dance

Their glimmering eyes met, curiosity shimmering in solid colour. Heads tilted to other side, a sign of good-natured questioning. Tenebris, the individual with the thin black fur, begun to pace in a circular motion. Lux, the other, compelled to follow. For a few moments, circling. Like the hawk’s chase of prey, but this was not quite like that. The pace morphed into a prance, little hops and skips disturbing their beginning ritual. Twisting their bodies as they moved, skipping and jumping, not unlike a deer. Grunts of joy and happiness, of not being alone. Being understood. A dance of utter joy. Their chorus of grunting calls and their bodies moving rhythmically to this primal acapella. Palms and paws flying in the air in celebration. However, eventually they slowed, their dance becoming still, but joyful, nonetheless.

Touch

A thin ring of blurred light hovered at the edges of their vision. A momentary sense of haziness, disassociation. Gingerly, they willed the strange feeling of muscle contracting. Darkness befalling their vision for a moment. Then returned the light, the haze subsided minimally, but noticeably so. In front of them. Another. They tilted their graceful head in a smooth arc to the side. The other mimicking the movement, but to the opposite side. How curious. They had only just taken in the image of this other, yet, they felt familiar with them as though they’d known each other for an eternity. They reached forward, the appendage at the end of their own limb like theirs. Five digits, the rightmost one outstretched. A warm, soft feeling, with a little, semi-rough texture. Intriguing. The tips of their fingers touched, lingering there. Experiencing this feeling for the first time. A small flash of white light, as the world began, at the touch of a finger.

Explosion

The light grew like flora, both in size and intensity. Shining a pure white, like snow, with veins forming in black. Twisting the length of the figure, forming a tight bud shape, holding this form for a few, brief moments. Then, the leaves began to unfold in a spiral motion. The black veins flowed to become water, to become rivers. The white sprang to become forests, landscapes, mountains, tundras, savannahs, and so many more features it blessed this new world with. The rivers shaped massive basins, that would become the seas. From these seas, life. The Solyxios of the world emerged, water dripping from their newborn but fully mature bodies. Numi, their bodies sustained by the life-giving liquid. True currents and tides broke the rock from the banks, creating the precious gemstones that nurture their own Solyxio Guardians, all in a spectrum of colors. Then, the waters gave forth to flora and its Protectors, and fauna. From the skies above, the formerly empty void spawned its own Solyxios to guard them, the Miti.

Shatter

This creation, despite its liveliness and awe, came dripping with tragedy. Power of the blast shattered the fragile bodies of the Creators into thousands of little fragments, broken like glass. Despite the absence of their physical bodies, the creators still live. A cog in the delicate machinery of nature. They are there when the breeze blows, however lightly, when the stream takes the rock, and transforms it by the end of its journey, when the predator begins the hunt. Their pieces are scattered across their creation, infused with it, part of it. Every heartbeat, every breath they live and feel, the workings of what they’re created.

Despite their presence in nature and their creation as a whole, sometimes, you may find a tangible piece of their former bodies. So small you may disregard it as a piece of dirt, if you could even spot it. Usually, they take the shape of a four-pronged star, with their edges jagged, like broken glass. It’s hoped, even with the small size and illusiveness of these shards, that they may be found, and eventually put together. It’s hoped that it may reform the Creators, restoring their bodies onto them once more, until the end of time. It is hoped that these events, even if yet to conspire, may arrive sooner rather than later. To lay their sight on the glistening pelts, glimmering eyes, and incomprehensible intelligence of these omnipotent individuals is the dream of every Solyxio and Guardian.
